The Decatur-Macon County Fair Association is accepting applications for the 2008 Dallas E. Beyer Memorial Scholarship. The Scholarship is in Memory of Dallas E. Beyer, a former Fair Board President and long-time member of the Decatur-Macon County Fair Association. Dallas was very dedicated to the fairgrounds and worked tirelessly to make it a success in Macon County.
The Dallas E. Beyer Memorial Scholarship is a $500 Scholarship available to any college-bound individual or currently enrolled college student who has participated in any Open Class or Junior Class Department at the Decatur-Macon County Fair. Preference will be given to applicants who have participated in the Fair for two (2) years or more. The Scholarship is to help fund educational expenses such as tuition and books.
