Friends Creek Conservation Area is a quiet, secluded place to get away from your routine. The trails, prairie, and abundant wildlife make Friends Creek Conservation Area an excellent place to camp. Set in the oak-hickory forest, Friends Creek includes 16 campsites with 30 amp electric service and 19 non-electric. Centered in the campground is a comfort station with showers.
Friends Creek Conservation Area Campground is open May 1 – November 1. Campsites are available on a first come, first served basis or by reservation. To make reservations, call the Macon County Conservation District at (217) 423-7708, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
